white Americans dying on the hill of defending the politics of Oppenheimer as a film is so embarrassing to me

They’re all being like “making a movie about something doesn’t glorify it” and no it doesn’t do so inherently but a Christopher Nolan Hollywood biopic starring cillian Murphy fucking the blonde bombshell of the hour on screen kind of does lol

And like yea criticism that it doesn’t include a Japanese perspective might not be the right angle to bring critique but obviously the center of that critique isn’t “they should’ve done random cuts to Japan” it’s “a Hollywood movie starring twenty modern beloved sex symbols which goes to great length to dwell on and explore the hurt feelings, loves, and dreams of the people responsible for one of the United states’ greatest atrocities is in poor taste”

the most powerful thing i’ve done is convince my mother that my binder is a “modesty bra” sjfhekdjdjfhjdj i fully have that woman believing that this is a common thing among my classmates who like to dress modestly, which inspired me to follow that trend. i’ve been telling her this since ~2014 and she still says “i washed your bra for you ^_^” when she washes my binder for me

Does anyone know good photos or reference sources to draw people with wheelchairs or canes?

this deviant user has a lot of stock photos with their wheelchair:

https://www.deviantart.com/tasastock/art/Wheelchair-3-431575277

in their more by, there’s a few more but from there, i tend to just do a lot of searching on pinterest or tiktok!

and again, here’s the canes guide :)

you can also get great dynamic poses by looking up wheelchair sports! wheelchair dancesport if you want cool dancing, wcmx championships if you want super dynamic poses and cool tricks. most sports use specialized wheelchairs so they’ll look different to regular everyday use wheelchair, but it’s a great start if you want something more dynamic than regular static stock photos :)
